Yet another day, another morning...the cycle of daily routine is so typical that it puts majority of us into a mental plateau. You tend to feel so comfortable in your daily chores that it leads to a "routine",unintentional doing of certain activities, tasks, actions that they become second nature to you. There is no consciousness involved in our day to day life activities of waking up,getting ready,leaving/driving to work place, return to home, going to bed etc.All these actions have been so much ingrained within us that we fail to notice the effects these action generate on our physical and mental landscape.

Monday Musings
Newspapers have become an integral part of our lives,so much so,they resemble attributes of a personal mobile phone. Both are
- indispensable
- habit forming
- informs what's happening
- feel good to touch and hold
- usable in loo
- communication mediums
- influences our behaviour
- status symbols(the pink tabloids)
You tend to get fuzzy early mornings if newspapers is not to be find when you come out of your bedroom-the newspaper provides the cool comfort of keeping you in loop with all topics you care about-be it politics, sports,Page 3 masala, crosswords, editorials, day's prediction,TV schedule, movies, latest discounts and what not.
You'll be able to know a person better if you know which pages he reads daily-whether (s)he is sports loving, bollywood junkie or a true blue politician. The city's stores fate are made or mar by the shoppers, who tend to finalise day's shopping after looking at that day's newspaper and jumping on their impulse buying.
The tweets on a personality form a crescendo if he is in limelight.
Each newspaper has their own character and their die hard subscribers would not touch any other publication with a pole.
Indian newspapers tend to exhibit negativism - some more ,others less-maybe the masses like it this way-positive news does not sell.

Tuesday's Tunes
Getting up early is something which majority of my fellow Indians love to hate. The excuses for not waking up early extends from run of the mill to such classics-they might get nominated for the Oscars if there would have been one for churning out original excuses. Some common excuses are:
- I slept late yesterday
- If I wake up early,I'll feel drowsy and cannot perform
- My spouse/kids/parents are not supportive
- My party life will go for a toss
- It's fashionable to sleep post midnight
- You are not a successful person if you aren't sleeping late
- Blah,Blah....
Sleeping late in the bed is as bad as an addiction as would be cigarettes,drugs,paan,liquor-something no one can raise a finger at.The psychological, family and societal pressures on a smoker would drive a guilty feeling in the offender, but no such guilt can be seen in the late risers. Both are equally bad-for self and society.Getting up late is against the nature's laws, our body is inherently built to tap the early morning energy for a richer, meaningful life.
Why is it so that we keep on doing things which we know, understand and realise are not good for us? The complex psychological jungle, which is commonly known as brain, has been conditioned by us,through our excuses that it is OKAY if we do things which are not in congruence with our nature. We are adept at blaming from the local councilor to the PM for all ailments which suffers our public life-yet we cannot look at our own actions for not improving.
